About the position

Celeris seeks a highly experienced and energetic Senior Technical Drafter to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars critical to US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions. In support of the government customer, the Program Manager, and the Chief Engineer, the Senior Technical Drafter is responsible for responsive and coherent planning, development, and delivery of PARCS and UEWR radar hardware and software modifications in response to change requests and deficiency reports. This role requires a strong understanding of technical drafting and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure that all modifications meet the necessary specifications and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop design drawings according to engineering sketches and proposal specifications.
  • Digitize, edit, and revise engineering drawings of components, parts, circuits, structures and/or assemblies.
  • Manage and organize design files, patterns, and technical documentation in a systematic manner to facilitate seamless information sharing.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on the final products, ensuring they adhere to the established design specifications and industry standards.
  • Gather and interpret complex technical information for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Manage documentation tasks for multiple products simultaneously.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and 5-years' experience.
  • Experience with Visio, Cameo, CAD programs, or other relevant technical drafting software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a high level of interpersonal skills mandatory.
  • Must be a self-motivated team player with demonstrated ability to manage projects, tasks, and special assignments independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment with minimal supervision.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with agile teams and methodologies.
  • Experience sustaining UEWR and/or PARCS ground based radar systems.
  • Revit: 1 year (Preferred)
