About the position

The Senior Technical Interior Designer at DLR Group will lead hospitality design projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high design standards. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including clients and internal teams, to deliver unique and emotionally resonant design solutions that enhance guest experiences. The position requires hands-on supervision of design staff and active management of project schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Interior Design projects on budget and schedule while delivering design excellence.
  • Collaborate on the design of complex projects from programming through construction administration.
  • Prepare and develop drawings, models, materials, and other documents relating to the design.
  • Serve as primary liaison with clients to bring projects to completion on schedule and within budget.
  • Actively manage project budgets, schedules, and programs, project communication and documentation, and project team assignments.
  • Manage project schedule, budget, and cartoon set for project success.
  • Determine and manage coordination of all technical project efforts to ensure efficient execution of assigned projects.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional experience designing hospitality interior projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or equivalent.
  • Strong creative design and drawing skills as well as graphic and oral presentation skills.
  • Intimate familiarity with the interior design process and deliverables required.
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Familiarity with FFE specification software and producing custom specifications.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to support project tasks.
  • Ability to work both independently and effectively in a cross-disciplinary team atmosphere.
