Mastech is a growing company dedicated to innovation and teamwork, currently seeking a Senior Technical/IT Project Manager for our client in the IT Services domain. This role is crucial for managing and improving the configuration management of critical applications, ensuring high availability and reduced mean time to recovery (MTTR). The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in project management, particularly in IT services, and will be responsible for deploying configuration management for 20-30 critical applications. The Senior Technical/IT Project Manager will utilize the existing BMC Remedy application for configuration management, deploying the CMDB capability and modifying existing processes such as Incident and Change Management to effectively manage configuration items. This role requires integration of Remedy with discovery, asset management, and event notification systems, as well as automation of event enrichment and other key CMS processes. The project manager will oversee the full spectrum of project management activities, including updating and improving project plans, monitoring project activity, leading the project team, and collaborating with the PMO to track project status, risks, and changes. Additionally, the project manager will facilitate stakeholder management, make key project decisions with guidance from the program manager and sponsors, and coach project personnel on effective practices. The CMS project currently employs an Agile development process, and the project manager should possess knowledge and experience in Agile methodologies. Support will be provided by key project resources, including a Development Leader, UAT Leader, Training Developer, and Deployment Leader, but the project manager will be expected to coordinate these efforts effectively. The role also involves running or attending meetings, influencing discussions for productive outcomes, and preparing or updating presentations for stakeholders.
