About the position

The Senior Technical Lead Java Development position is a senior-level role focused on leading a small team in the development of complex and time-sensitive projects. The individual will be responsible for designing applications, managing a three-member subgroup, and ensuring high-quality deliverables. This role requires a hands-on approach, with a strong emphasis on coding, mentoring, and technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team to cover complex and time-sensitive projects.
• Design entire applications independently.
• Manage a three-member subgroup during implementation.
• Collaborate with leadership, product owners, and stakeholders to understand high-level requirements.
• Develop software architecture and design.
• Guide product design with a focus on technical feasibility.
• Assist team members to meet project deadlines.
• Conduct technical code reviews and mentor technical staff.
• Make recommendations on the feasibility of new technologies and frameworks.

Requirements

• 10+ years of application development experience.
• 5+ years of lead experience in a technical role.
• Solid working knowledge of core Java skills.
• Hands-on experience with coding and mentoring.
• Experience with Java/J2EE technical stack for back-end development.
• Proven experience with Spring/Boot Framework and JPA/Hibernate.
• Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks including Angular.
• Familiarity with relational databases, particularly Oracle/SQL.
• B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent; Master's degree preferred.
