About the position

CGI Federal is seeking a Technical Lead responsible for guiding and overseeing the development and maintenance of mobile delivery applications for a Federal Customer. This candidate will spearhead the development and maintenance of cutting-edge mobile applications on platforms, including Apple iPads and Microsoft Surface tablets. In this role, it is critical to collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable, robust, and secure applications, ensuring exceptional performance and user experience. In addition to providing technical leadership, mentoring team members, and implementing best practices in coding, architecture, and security, this role will also manage project timelines, optimize application performance, and stay abreast of industry trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation. This position is located in our Washington DC office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all development work required to design, develop, and implement strategic architectural plans for delivery of mobile applications.
• Contribute to the design, testing, and deployment of applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.
• Oversee all application development work and present overview briefings and updates to Government leads, partners, and customers.
• Assist the CGI Program Manager (PM) and Deputy PM (DPM) in distilling applications' functional and non-functional requirements.
• Provide a technical need summary to the government program manager and government technical lead, giving the client a consolidated roundup across all development efforts.
• Build and integrate Machine Learning (ML) solutions such as Generative AI (Gen-AI) that provide finished intelligence recommendations.
• Work closely with technical leads, database architects, data scientists, and Information Systems Security Officers (ISSO) to build and integrate applications.
• Maintain daily communication with Government, CGI and other contractor leads on requirements, mission priorities, performance measures, program goals and milestones.
• Notify Government, CGI PM and DPM of any issues or trends that pose a risk to mission priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, data science, mathematics, or similar technical discipline.
• Experience leading teams of mobile application developers.
• Experience with managed cloud services such as Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Understanding of building new mobile delivery applications and modernizing existing systems.
• Understanding of ML concepts and knowledge of basic techniques, workflows, and algorithms.
• Strong knowledge of iOS and Windows app development technologies.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of data security and privacy regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Active TS/SCI with CI Poly required.
