About the position

AECOM is seeking a Senior Technical Leader for its Coal Combustion Residuals (CCR) Practice. This role involves managing projects, providing technical direction, and serving as a subject matter expert in CCR and solid waste management. The successful candidate will lead client-facing teams, develop new client relationships, and support the growth of engineering and environmental services within the power and industrial markets. Responsibilities

• Serve as a project manager and/or technical task leader on key projects and accounts.
• Develop new clients and support existing client relationships.
• Attend client meetings and coordinate with multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Provide technical leadership in the areas of CCR ash basin closure, landfill design, solid waste management, groundwater and related regulatory, planning, design and construction phase projects.
• Prepare qualifications, technical approach, and selling messages and communicate them in proposals and project interviews.
• Serve as senior consultant for current and future projects, working with internal project teams and clients to set strategic direction for project execution.
• Participate in national/regional industry organizations, as appropriate on behalf of AECOM and AECOM's clients.
• Help recruit new talent to grow AECOM's team.

Requirements

• BA/BA + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• U.S. Citizen/Resident.
• B.S. Degree in Engineering (Civil, Geotechnical, Mechanical, Environmental), Geology or Hydrogeology preferred.
• Master's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Geotechnical, Mechanical, Environmental, etc.), Geology or Hydrogeology preferred.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) preferred.
• Minimum ten years of related technical experience in engineering, geology or hydrogeology.
• Ten years of project management experience.
• Five years of experience in CCR-related projects.
• 15+ years of related project experience in Civil Design, CCR, Environmental Infrastructure or Geotechnical Engineering projects related to CCR management, solid waste management, remediation construction, water resources, dams and impoundments.
• Ten+ years of experience working for an engineering consulting organization or power company.
