About the position

The Senior Technical Product Analyst position at Sprouts is a pivotal role that focuses on managing the product domains related to business applications, particularly in the context of the end-to-end software lifecycle. This hybrid role, based out of the Phoenix, AZ Support Office, involves engaging in various stages of software selection, development, implementation, and ongoing support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interacting with stakeholders, vendors, and developers to ensure comprehensive collection, documentation, and implementation of requirements. This position demands exceptional leadership, interpersonal communication, and collaboration skills, as the analyst will guide teams through the project lifecycle with minimal supervision. In this role, the Senior Technical Product Analyst will conduct research on emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions to meet business needs. The analyst will lead and manage small to medium-sized projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions that align with the organization’s goals. The creation of technical and non-functional requirements documentation is essential, including visual representations of business processes and systems, such as current and desired states and performance gap analyses. Additionally, the analyst will maintain multiple product backlogs, working across various teams to prioritize tasks and assess the level of effort required. They will manage release and upgrade schedules, ensuring that release notes are received, impacts are understood, and pre/post-deployment testing is completed. Monitoring and maintaining system performance through regular audits and providing recommendations for optimization and improvement will also be key responsibilities. The role requires the ability to utilize various analytics, critical thinking, and problem-solving methods to address complex issues effectively, as well as the capability to present information and respond to inquiries from all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts research on emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions to address business needs.
  • Leads and manages small to medium-sized projects with little to no supervision.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translates them into technical solutions that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Creates technical and non-functional requirements documentation, including visual representations of business processes and systems (i.e., current state, desired end state, and performance of any gap analysis).
  • Maintains multiple product backlogs by working across various teams to determine priority and level of effort.
  • Manages release/upgrade schedules while ensuring release notes are received, impacts are well understood, and pre/post-deployment testing is completed.
  • Monitors and maintains system performance; conducts regular audits and provides recommendations for optimization and improvement.
  • Utilizes a variety of analytics, critical thinking, and problem-solving methods to find solutions to complex problems.
  • Effectively presents information and responds to questions from all levels of the organization.

Requirements

  • 4 year degree or 5 years of equivalent work experience in a Senior Technical Analyst role.
  • 5+ years of experience working on software sourcing and implementation projects, including experience in all areas of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Minimum of 2 years combined experience in a retail setting, preferably with in-store related systems and processes.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall project methodologies preferred.
