About the position

The Technical Product Manager for the Autonomous Vehicles (AV) team at NVIDIA will play a crucial role in developing self-driving software that enhances vehicle autonomy. This position involves collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to create a comprehensive World Model that enables safe autonomous driving. The manager will oversee features related to sensor fusion, road understanding, and obstacle detection, ensuring the self-driving system is equipped with the necessary knowledge to navigate safely.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with other technical product managers and technical leads to understand self-driving problems and break them down into prioritized requirements.
• Interact directly with engineering teams to convert requirements into competitive roadmaps for achieving end-to-end goals.
• Define and drive metrics and quality indicators for capabilities, ensuring a deep understanding of quality in responsible areas.
• Coordinate with partner teams and internal customers to resolve bottlenecks and keep workstreams moving.
• Develop a deep technical understanding of the entire stack to identify areas for improvement and investment.

Requirements

• 8+ years of recent Product or Program Management experience.
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or related projects involving complex systems and information fusion.
• Strong skills in influencing, communication, presenting, and multi-functional team building across time zones.
• Technical ability to creatively resolve development issues and constraints.

Nice-to-haves

• Relevant domain knowledge/experience in Autonomous Driving, Robotics, Computer Vision, Sensor Fusion, or Online Mapping.
• Experience in a fast-paced AI or Autonomous Vehicle company.
• Proven technical background as a software engineer, systems engineer, or similar.
