About the position

As a Senior Technical Product Manager for Platform Interoperability at Renaissance, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the user experience across Renaissance's educational technology applications. Your focus will be on streamlining student sign-ins, integrating student data into products, and securely sharing student activity data to empower educators. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions, manage the product backlog, and measure success, all while ensuring that the development process remains lean and user-centered.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate seamless sign-in processes for students across Renaissance applications.
• Integrate student data into products to prepare accounts for learning.
• Securely share student activity data to inform customer decisions.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product teams to design effective solutions.
• Own the product backlog and manage product processes.
• Define and measure success metrics for product initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software product management or a related role.
• Ability to connect technical work to its impact on users and students.
• Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Excellent collaboration and listening skills to craft solutions with teams.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical abilities for problem-solving.
• Experience with data analysis, BI/analytics tools, and SQL.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in K-12 education technology, particularly in data management, rostering, identity, or licensing.
• Experience working in a school or school district.
• Familiarity with software teams using XP, CI/CD, or TDD methodologies.
• Experience with lean and agile methodologies; familiarity with Jira is a plus.
