About the position

The Senior Technical Product Manager at UnitedHealth Group is responsible for leading the development and delivery of commercialized healthcare solutions. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, understanding market needs, and managing the product lifecycle from ideation to sunset. The position requires a strong background in product management, particularly in the healthcare sector, and emphasizes the importance of agile methodologies and effective communication between business partners and delivery teams.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to enable successful development and delivery of commercialized solutions.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the portfolio strategy, market needs, and key questions at each stage of the product lifecycle.
  • Propose business process re-designs and opportunities for efficiency to maximize business results.
  • Act as a liaison between business partners and the delivery team in requirements gathering, scoping, capacity needs, and UAT of a project.
  • Provide subject matter expertise, analyze gaps between current situations and desired outcomes, and deliver appropriate solutions.
  • Participate in activities within each stage of the product lifecycle: Ideate, Define, Build, Launch, Manage, Sunset.
  • Review the entire portfolio to assess product relevance based on business and market strategy.
  • Make recommendations on whether to maintain, invest, or end products based on assessments.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of product management experience leading technical product or service delivery, including service lifecycle support.
  • 3+ years of experience with healthcare-related business analysis.
  • 3+ years of experience translating business requirements into detailed system specifications.
  • 3+ years of experience writing User Stories, Requirements, Testing, and collaborating with Development/Engineering Teams.
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile software development approach.
  • Experience in Agile delivery models.
