About the position

At PayPal, we believe in the power of building developer-focused products to unlock our next phase of growth in Commerce and Payments. We are seeking a talented Senior Technical Product Manager who is passionate about creating best-in-class payment experiences. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing the APIs and SDKs on the Braintree Payments platform. The Merchant Integrations team, which you will be a part of, is dedicated to enabling merchants to offer various payment choices to their buyers at checkout. We design products with the needs of merchants and their developers in mind, ensuring the best and simplest integration possible. Your impact will be significant as you work with the Developer Community, Global Professional Services, Sales, and Integration Engineering to define and deliver world-class experiences for customers globally. A key initial focus area will be to work on initiatives that help improve the Braintree API and SDKs, as well as simplifying upgrades for merchants transitioning to the Braintree Platform. You will strategize and define the best ways for merchants to enable integration on the Braintree Payments Platform using Braintree APIs and SDKs, while also simplifying upgrades from legacy SDKs and older PayPal products. In your day-to-day activities, you will coordinate across multiple Product Managers within the Merchant Integration organization, who are experts in individual APIs and SDKs, as well as those managing the consumer experience. You will orchestrate work and distill product requirements across multiple PMs, creating a cohesive developer story to guide the product through the developer go-to-market phases. Your role will also involve prioritizing and maintaining a balance between ongoing maintenance, new feature requests, and the need to keep integrations simple and flexible, continuously evolving with changes in technology and the competitive landscape. Additionally, you will conduct competitive analysis to inform areas of improvement and trends, and gain an outside-in perspective by engaging with developers and internal client-facing teams to build a case for evolving client interfaces. You will provide the right level of support and direction to keep the engineering team aligned with the overall product strategy and participate in regular meetings throughout the product lifecycle.
