At PayPal, we believe in the power of building developer-focused products to unlock our next phase of growth in Commerce and Payments. We are seeking a talented Senior Technical Product Manager passionate about building best-in-class payment experiences. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing the APIs/SDKs on the Braintree Payments platform. The Merchant Integrations team is responsible for enabling merchants to offer various payment choices to their buyers at checkout. We design products keeping in mind the needs of merchants and their developers and offer the best and simplest integration possible. You will work with the Developer Community, Global Professional Services, Sales, and Integration Engineering to define and deliver world-class experiences for customers globally. A key initial focus area will be to work on initiatives that help improve the Braintree API & SDKs in addition to simplifying upgrades for merchants coming onto the Braintree Platform. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include strategizing and defining the best ways for merchants to enable integration on the Braintree Payments Platform using Braintree APIs and SDKs, simplifying upgrades from Legacy SDKs and older PayPal products, coordinating across multiple PMs within the Merchant Integration organization, and orchestrating work to distill product requirements across multiple PMs. You will also prioritize and maintain a balance between ongoing maintenance/bugs, new feature requests, and the need to keep integrations simple and flexible while continuously evolving with changes in technology and the competitive landscape. Conducting competitive analysis to inform areas of improvement, gaining an "outside-in" perspective by speaking with a cross-section of developers, and providing the right level of support and direction to keep the engineering team aligned with the overall product strategy are also key aspects of this role. Participation in regular cadences such as stand-ups, retrospectives, and planning meetings will be essential as you engage with the team throughout the product life cycle.
