About the position

The Senior Technical Product Manager at PayPal is responsible for enhancing the PayPal JavaScript SDK to improve payment experiences for merchants. This role involves collaborating with various teams to deliver world-class payment solutions, ensuring that client-side integrations remain simple and flexible while adapting to technological changes and market trends.

Responsibilities

• Enhance the PayPal JavaScript SDK to enable credit or debit card as a payment method.
• Prioritize ongoing maintenance, new feature requests, and ensure client-side integrations are simple and flexible.
• Conduct competitive analysis to identify areas for improvement and trends.
• Engage with developers and internal teams to gather insights for evolving client interfaces.
• Provide support and direction to the engineering team to align with product strategy.
• Participate in regular team meetings and engage throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Professional Services to pilot and launch enhancements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Product Management or relevant experience managing REST APIs and/or Web SDKs.
• Experience managing technology-focused products (SaaS, APIs, SDKs, Infrastructure, Platform) in an Agile SCRUM environment.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and related tools and frameworks (Node.js, HTML, CSS).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
• Experience managing products externalized via APIs and/or SDKs.
• Background in engineering, solution engineering, or architecture with experience in APIs and/or SDKs.
