About the position

The Senior Technical Product Manager at Chewy will lead a diverse portfolio of projects within the Discovery product team, focusing on enhancing the design, functionality, and user experience of Product Listing Pages (PLPs). This role is pivotal in utilizing customer signals and advanced algorithms to create personalized experiences that drive customer acquisition and retention. The manager will oversee the entire product development process, from conceptualization to execution, ensuring alignment with customer and business goals while leveraging machine learning and AI technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Define and analyze measures of success for new features and improvements; translate customer and business insights into clear requirements.
  • Guide the development and delivery of customer experiences across the Discovery platform using a customer-first approach and machine learning expertise.
  • Develop and maintain a roadmap and prioritized product backlog, ensuring alignment between product vision and goals.
  • Own the end-to-end product development process, balancing product requirements with technical feasibility.
  • Drive innovation through continuous improvement, employing A/B experiments, data analysis, and feedback to iterate on algorithms and product functionality.
  • Collaborate with machine learning scientists, engineering, design, and analytics teams to deliver high-value features.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in technical product management or a similar role leading cross-functional projects.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Strong experience in applying machine learning techniques and algorithms in a product setting.
  • Strong analytical abilities with experience in using data to drive product decisions.
  • Proven track record to handle and deliver highly technical products that are scalable.
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
  • Strong business, operational, and technical vision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts at the executive level.

Nice-to-haves

  • E-commerce experience preferred.
