About the position

We are looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager to help us grow from 5M to 50M users in the next few years by optimizing automation for our core infrastructure. This role will focus on automating the entire user journey and transaction process for our flagship insurance product, which is the primary revenue driver for our business. In this high visibility role, you will report directly to our CEO/co-founder and collaborate closely with our software engineers, data scientists, and business leaders. This is the most critical piece of our infrastructure which no other insurtech or insurance broker has been able to replicate, and it's the reason we can scale our business without building a huge team. The work you do will be critical in helping us become a $5B business by 2030. Jerry is building the first super app to help people optimize all aspects of owning a car insurance, including buying/selling, registration, loans, safety, repairs, parking, etc., in a $2T market in the U.S. We started with insurance in 2019, and since then we have launched loan refinancing, real-time driving insights, a repair marketplace, car diagnostics, and a GenAI-powered chatbot. We have amassed over 5M customers, raised $240MM in funding, scaled our revenue 40X, and our team to 250 across 7 countries. In this role, you will identify key areas to apply or improve automation to accelerate the end-to-end transaction journey for our insurance marketplace and reduce friction for both our customers and internal teams. This includes researching and testing the latest AI technology to supercharge the backend infrastructure that supports our insurance business. You will also comb through a massive amount of data, run analyses, and identify opportunities to optimize our operations and backend systems. Partnering with software engineers, data scientists, designers, and operations teams, you will build and launch new features designed to make the insurance shopping and maintenance experience instantaneous and delightful.

Responsibilities

  • Identify key areas to apply or improve automation to accelerate the end-to-end transaction journey for our insurance marketplace.
  • Research and test the latest AI technology to enhance the backend infrastructure that supports our insurance business.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify opportunities for optimizing operations and backend systems.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, designers, and operations teams to build and launch new features.
  • Reduce friction for both customers and internal teams in the insurance shopping and maintenance experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitatively or intellectually rigorous discipline.
  • A few years of consulting experience (MBB preferred).
  • Comfortable conducting rigorous analyses and developing insightful hypotheses.
  • Ability to validate impact through data-driven decision making.
