The Senior Technical Product Owner of Clinical Intelligent Search at Mayo Clinic plays a crucial role in the delivery of one of the Clinical Decision Hub's (CDH) flagship products. This position is integral to the Scrum team, acting as a vital link between Mayo Clinic's Care Teams and the business. The Senior Product Owner holds the authority and accountability to shape, prioritize, and validate the product backlog, ensuring that the vision and goals are effectively communicated to the development team. This role requires a deep understanding of digital healthcare product development and clinical workflows, enabling the Product Owner to collaborate closely with stakeholders, Product Management, the Scrum Lead, and developers to deliver innovative digital solutions that meet user needs and expectations. In this role, the Senior Technical Product Owner must balance both business and technical engineering/IT needs to ensure the delivery of high-quality digital products and operational workflows that meet or exceed business objectives. The position involves performing cost, benefit, and risk analyses associated with proposed products and services, recommending alternatives throughout the product lifecycle. The Product Owner will synthesize, articulate, and document business and system requirements through collaboration with stakeholders and users. This includes performing data analysis, defining and documenting business requirements, and translating them into technical specifications, acceptance criteria, user experience requirements, and system validation. These technical specifications are essential for Engineering/IT in the final design and product build or integration. Additionally, the Senior Technical Product Owner may assist product and operations leaders in coordinating the deployment of deliverables, contributing to the development of product documents, project charters, work assignments, and deliverable target dates. The role requires applying systems engineering methodologies throughout the product and project lifecycle, ensuring accurate scope boundaries for products and technical requirements. The Product Owner will also assess and define problems through root cause analysis, proactively proposing solutions. A key aspect of this role is the ability to read and interpret vended solution architecture, translating it into scope of work and technical specifications for integration into Mayo Clinic's engineering and technology systems. The Senior Technical Product Owner will also help define product implementation change management requirements for products that do not require formal Implementation Team resources, demonstrating experience in leading teams in a Product Owner capacity.
