About the position

The Senior Technical Program Manager & Acquisition Support at Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is responsible for providing Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to support the war-fighting mission of combatant commanders. This role involves working in targeted teams to identify and deliver advanced capabilities, overseeing junior staff, managing acquisition documentation, and providing strategic insights to senior DoD leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to achieve cost-effective, long-term capabilities for war-fighting missions.
  • Work in small teams to identify emerging capabilities and deliver advanced solutions to the warfighter.
  • Oversee efforts of less senior staff and manage all staff assigned to specific jobs.
  • Analyze complex cost, schedule, and performance data to make actionable recommendations.
  • Support the building and management of acquisition documentation and monitor program execution.
  • Act as a strategic partner with customers, delivering insights on emerging technologies.
  • Prepare and deliver briefings and reports to senior DoD leadership.

Requirements

  • 20+ years of work experience in DoD-relevant advanced technology development as a project/program manager or portfolio lead.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Special Access Programs and/or SCI environment within the last 5 years.
  • Extensive acquisition and contract management experience, particularly in monitoring program execution.
  • Experience in developing and coordinating acquisition documentation such as Statement of Work and Request for Proposal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for developing briefings and reports for senior leadership.
