About the position

The Sr. Technical Program Manager will play a pivotal role in Amazon's Autonomy group, overseeing the execution of complex programs that involve collaboration across various teams. This position is responsible for ensuring that the organization operates efficiently, influences key stakeholders, and drives decision-making processes to achieve project goals. The role requires a deep understanding of technical systems and the ability to navigate ambiguity while maintaining a focus on team productivity and success.

Responsibilities

• Build and execute roadmaps for programs across Autonomy, managing high complexity due to interdependencies with partner and customer teams.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders of the programs managed.
• Dive deep into technical systems to understand project details, especially in deep learning.
• Handle ambiguity with emotional fortitude and a focus on team productivity.
• Foster an in-office culture and demonstrate high emotional intelligence while working hard for team success.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of technical program management experience with software engineering teams.
• Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of project management experience including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
• Experience defining KPIs/SLAs for multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
• Experience managing cross-functional programs and release schedules.
