About the position

The Sr. Technical Program Manager will play a pivotal role in Amazon's Autonomy group, overseeing the execution of complex programs and ensuring that the organization operates at maximum efficiency. This position requires collaboration across various teams, including engineering, product, and finance, to drive decisions and deliver results. The role involves managing the group's operational cadence and special projects, often in ambiguous and time-sensitive environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and execute roadmaps for programs across Autonomy, managing high complexity due to interdependence with partner and customer teams.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders of the programs managed.
• Dive deep into technical systems to understand project details, particularly in deep learning.
• Handle ambiguity with emotional fortitude and a focus on team productivity.
• Demonstrate high emotional intelligence and a strong work ethic in an in-office culture.
• Support the team in achieving success through various means.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of technical program management experience with software engineering teams.
• Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of project management experience including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
• Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams and building sustainable processes.
• Experience defining KPIs/SLAs for multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
• Experience managing cross-functional programs and release schedules.
