About the position

The position involves planning, coordinating, and managing the technical delivery of complex digital product solutions at Northwestern Mutual. The role requires overseeing the end-to-end delivery plans for digital products, ensuring alignment with initiative outcomes, and managing inter-dependencies across teams. The candidate will be responsible for driving clarity on objectives, assessing program risks, and leading multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive specific aspects of a larger program with medium complexity.
• Make connections across teams to identify and manage inter-dependencies.
• Define the program structure and create a unified plan to deliver on program objectives.
• Drive clarity on objectives, priorities, and measures.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and issues, removing impediments as necessary.
• Lead highly visible multidisciplinary project teams or initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience.
• Four or more years of project management experience in technology and/or business functions.
• Experience with project management methodologies or SDLC (systems development life cycle).
• Working knowledge of project management/agile tooling.
• Understanding of software development, testing, and implementation processes.
• Ability to work closely with engineers, product managers, and business leaders.
• Experience managing large scale, cross-functional initiatives using various delivery methodologies (i.e., waterfall, agile, lean, scrum).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
