About the position

The Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) for New Product Introduction (NPI) at Tesla will oversee the engineering prototype build phases and lead the core team through the product launch process. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, ensuring adherence to NPI processes, and mentoring junior team members. The TPM will also be responsible for resource allocation, tracking project details, and driving material readiness to support new product rollouts in the Gigafactory Nevada location.

Responsibilities

• Manage the cross functional team to ensure successful launches of new products into the Gigafactory Nevada location
• Lead build core team meetings to coordinate all aspects of prototype builds, set build plans and evaluate constraints
• Lead, guide, and mentor junior team members
• Drive material readiness with supply chain and material planning teams
• Provide direction to project engineers for priorities and trial requirements
• Own product roadmaps
• Perform cost analyses to reduce product cost and manage inventory
• Aid in the development and roll-out of NPI structure and processes
• Coordinate with process and quality engineers to support new product roll outs

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• Minimum 5 years experience in a mix of engineering and Project Management fields
• Experience in Production/Manufacturing environment (semi-automated preferred)
• Executive level communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage large teams
• Ability to adapt to changes quickly
• Must have command of English Language, both written and verbal
