About the position

The Senior Technical Program Manager at Snowflake plays a crucial role in defining and delivering critical programs that have a significant organizational, business, and technical impact. This position involves cross-functional leadership, working closely with engineering and product management teams to design and deliver innovative solutions for Snowflake's cloud data platform. The role emphasizes strategic technical judgment, mentoring, and improving organizational execution to enhance engineering productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver critical programs with broad organizational, business, and technical impact.
  • Provide cross-functional leadership with Engineering and Product Management, ensuring effective communication across teams.
  • Utilize strong, data-driven technical judgment in decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate closely with Software Engineers and Product Managers to design, build, and deliver Snowflake services and applications.
  • Educate and mentor the TPM and Engineering communities on program management best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve organizational execution and increase engineering productivity.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of demonstrated industry experience leading medium to large complex engineering projects in current cloud technologies.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with ambiguity and competing priorities.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, product management, and other functions involved in the product life cycle.
  • Strong program management skills with technical and business acumen.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills, capable of interacting with both technical and non-technical groups.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, consultation, and organizational skills.
  • BS/MS/PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields or equivalent practical experience.
