About the position

The Product Operations Release Manager (P3) at UKG is responsible for overseeing the release management lifecycle within a SaaS environment. This role focuses on enhancing customer experience through effective program management, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement initiatives. The manager will leverage their technical acumen and leadership skills to drive project execution, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Apply familiarity with software development processes to guide project planning and execution.
• Focus on customer experience, representing customers' needs within programs or initiatives.
• Analyze complex challenges during project execution and develop innovative solutions.
• Assist in leading complex, cross-functional program activities, ensuring alignment with outcomes and timelines.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to facilitate communication and resolve issues.
• Work with global teams to understand project requirements, prioritize tasks, and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Engage in continuous learning opportunities and participate in Guilds.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance program delivery efficiency.
• Identify program risks and issues early, developing mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Release Management or related role in a SaaS organization.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, project management, and release management tools.
• Experience with the full release management lifecycle including scheduling and coordinating releases.
• Proven understanding of change management principles and practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
• Organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• High ownership and accountability mindset.

Nice-to-haves

• Out-of-the-box thinker and results-driven problem solver.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, GitHub, ServiceNow, and PowerBI.
• Ability to implement systems and processes for data-driven decision making.
