The TPM will define roadmaps, mitigate risks, prioritize tasks against constraints, and design mechanisms to ensure the success of their programs. A deep understanding of customer needs is essential, which will involve learning and applying Amazon's working backwards approach to enhance customer satisfaction. The day-to-day responsibilities of a TPM at Amazon involve delivering in an agile environment that adapts to the evolving needs of customers. Responsibilities

  • Deliver a portfolio of AWS services across various ADC regions.
  • Drive programs that meet the needs of diverse defense and national security customers.
  • Break down complex challenges into actionable strategies.
  • Analyze data and execute a customer-centric strategy.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across different organizations and seniority levels.
  • Define roadmaps and mitigate risks associated with program delivery.
  • Prioritize tasks against constraints and design success mechanisms for programs.
  • Establish a deep understanding of customer needs through detailed analysis.
  • Engage in customer deep dives and roadmap sessions with engineering teams.
  • Draft new strategies to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
  • 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
  • 5+ years of technical program management experience working directly with software engineering teams.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of project management experience including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
  • Experience defining KPIs/SLAs for multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Experience developing and executing product and technical roadmaps.
  • Ability to distill data and articulate rationale for making trade-offs and prioritization decisions.
