About the position

As a Senior Technical Project Manager in the DevSecOps team at GE Healthcare, you will be responsible for the comprehensive execution of technical projects aimed at delivering high-quality outcomes to internal customers. This role requires close collaboration with functional managers and the program management team to define feature backlogs and establish acceptance criteria. You will work alongside the technical DevSecOps team to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet the desired quality standards. Your role will also involve continuous improvement of project management practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. In this position, you will engage with functional partners and technology leadership to define the features backlog, specify acceptance requirements, and gather feedback. You will influence internal GE Healthcare tool and infrastructure roadmaps, demonstrating your ability to persuade and influence stakeholders effectively. Working with cross-functional teams, you will deliver features and products while collaborating with the functional manager and program management team to manage release and sprint backlogs, supporting the short-term roadmap for Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) and quarterly releases. Your responsibilities will include prioritizing tasks based on customer needs, defining execution plans based on project scope and available resources, and managing the backlog to ensure that 1-2 sprints or iterations are always ready. You will coordinate day-to-day execution with a globally located technical team, manage project risks and scope changes, and ensure stakeholder communication and progress reporting. Quality assurance of deliverables will be a key focus, ensuring that they meet stakeholder expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with functional partners and technology leadership in defining features backlog, specifying acceptance requirements and obtaining feedback.
  • Cooperate with and influence internal GE Healthcare tool and infrastructure roadmaps.
  • Demonstrate the ability to influence stakeholders through persuasion and influencing.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver features and products.
  • Collaborate with functional manager and program management team for the release and sprint backlogs to support short-term roadmap for MVPs and quarterly releases.
  • Prioritize continuously in accordance with the understanding and validation of customer problems and needs.
  • Define execution plan and approach based on project scope, expected timeline and available resources.
  • Own and manage the backlog; continuously order and prioritize to ensure that 1-2 sprints/iterations of backlog are always ready.
  • Work with globally located technical team often comprising of members of separate organizations to coordinate day-to-day execution as per outlined plan.
  • Manage project risks, scope changes and other non-standard events throughout the life of the project.
  • Manage stakeholder communication and progress reporting.
  • Ensure quality of deliverables is verified and matching stakeholder expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • A minimum of 4 years of professional experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a similar role focused on project management.
  • Proficiency with Agile and project management tools such as Rally, Jira, MS Project and Smartsheet.
  • Strong knowledge of DevSecOps theory, CI/CD, software design, coding principles and working in an Agile environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working with scrum teams and driving process improvements.
