About the position

As a Senior Technical Project Manager at Aristocrat, you will play a pivotal role in leading the development of next-generation gaming products. This position requires a highly motivated individual with extensive technical knowledge and proven project management skills. You will guide cross-functional teams from the initial concept phase through to successful product launch, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your responsibilities will include collaborating closely with various teams, including global and regional commercial portfolio management, governance, regulatory and QA teams, internal product development teams, program management, and external vendors/suppliers. You will also be responsible for comprehensive reporting on hardware project management across Aristocrat Gaming, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets while delivering top-quality products that exceed expectations. In this role, you will lead complex technical product development projects, acting as a strategist, communicator, and problem-solver. You will develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation strategies, ensuring efficient resource utilization. Proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks will be crucial, as will managing interdependencies effectively and implementing solutions to maintain project momentum. You will oversee all aspects of the development process, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, quality standards, and best practices. Clear communication and collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders will be essential, as will tracking project progress, analyzing data, and providing regular status reports to key stakeholders. Additionally, you will foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment, motivating and coaching team members to achieve established project goals and objectives. You will also be involved in program procurement management, planning product submissions for field trials and regulatory approvals, and ensuring that relevant standards, processes, and regulations are upheld. Your leadership and emotional intelligence skills will be vital in engaging others, influencing organizational culture, and providing direction. You will mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement while remaining flexible and receptive to feedback in your approach to goal achievement. Staying up to date on the latest industry trends and technologies relevant to new product development and project management will also be part of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate strategically with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing, etc.) to define product requirements and manage the entire new product development lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, manage interdependencies effectively, and implement solutions to maintain project momentum.
  • Oversee all aspects of the development process, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, quality standards, and best practices.
  • Facilitate clear communication and collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Track project progress, analyze data, and provide regular status reports to key stakeholders.
  • Track project metrics and leverage data analysis to identify areas for improvement in future development cycles.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment, motivating and coaching team members to achieve established project goals and objectives.
  • Plan product submissions for field trials, regulatory approvals, in conjunction with Compliance, Submission and Product Management teams.
  • Develop strong relationships with team members, vendors, and partners.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of successful technical project management experience, preferably in new product development and regulated industries (Gaming or similar).
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects on time and within budget.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Experience managing product approval through global regulatory frameworks.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of building trust and fostering collaboration.
