About the position

The position is responsible for leading project teams in the residential mortgage sector, ensuring successful project delivery against defined scope, schedule, and budget. The role emphasizes effective communication, teamwork, and innovative solutions to exceed borrower and business partner expectations. The project manager will oversee all phases of project management, from planning to execution, while proactively managing risks and ensuring adherence to change control processes.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the project team, resources, and the success or failure of the project against Scope, Schedule, and Budget.
  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closing of assigned projects.
  • Identify and track key project milestones, including base-lining critical path.
  • Work with project stakeholders and management to determine necessary skill sets and assemble the project team based on project scope and expectations.
  • Negotiate and influence cross-functional teams to ensure appropriate resourcing levels are engaged and maintained throughout the project life cycle.
  • Pro-actively anticipate project risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints, ensuring adequate response strategies are in place.
  • Track, manage, and report project progress as required.
  • Ensure change control procedures and processes are efficiently and effectively used to maintain control of scope, resources, schedule, and cost.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • PMI PMP Certification desired.
  • Previous mortgage banking experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Azure Dev Ops as a project lifecycle management and defect tracking tool is a plus.
  • Experience with Smartsheet as a project management tool for schedules and resource management is a plus.
  • Relevant IT work experience in distributed and heterogeneous computing environments.
  • Knowledge of data center operations, telecommunications, network engineering, and production operations support is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in IT procurement, technology software development, software engineering, QA, business systems analysis, user acceptance testing, and post-production support.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple project assignments in parallel of varying size and complexity.
