About the position

The Senior Technical Project Manager for Restraints and Safety Electronics at ALTEN Technology USA is responsible for overseeing the development and integration of safety systems in automotive projects. This role involves managing project timelines, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring that all components are delivered on schedule for testing. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong project management skills, effective communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage development timing with Restraints and Safety Electronics suppliers to meet program milestones.
  • Track part number maturity, engineering changes, and overall cost during development.
  • Support the RSE engineering team with system integration and validation testing activities.
  • Develop test parts requirement list based on engineering validation plans and oversee parts specification and procurement.
  • Ensure timely production and shipment of parts for testing.
  • Interface with suppliers for parts procurement related to safety system integration tests.
  • Coordinate logistics activities related to engineering to ensure project delivery.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, timing, and parts ordering.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, and cross-project dependencies proactively.
  • Monitor warehouse parts picks and ensure correct parts are packed and shipped on time.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, metrics, and KPIs to track project progress.
  • Document best practices and lessons learned throughout the program.
  • Establish working relationships with key organizations related to engineering projects.
  • Provide input to budget development to optimize part procurement costs.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Project Management.
  • 2+ years of automotive industry experience and knowledge of LEAN manufacturing.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively.
  • Experience using project management tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
