About the position

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Senior Project Manager for one of our clients in NYC. The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of experience in managing a diverse range of infrastructure-related projects, including server, network, and database solution deployments. This role requires a technical background and the ability to oversee the execution of both infrastructure and development teams. The Senior Technical Project Manager will coordinate activities, resources, and information to ensure project delivery, manage project work plans, schedules, risks, issues, and documentation utilizing project management tools and techniques. The successful candidate will ensure that clients' needs are addressed and met, monitor, track, and report on the project's progress, and proactively manage key project management activities. The role also involves identifying and reporting risks, issues, and change requests to appropriate decision-makers, serving as the primary point of contact, and providing regular updates on project status and key performance indicators to all stakeholders. Efficient management of project resources, including both functionally aligned team members and those organizationally assigned, is crucial. The Senior Technical Project Manager will ensure the seamless integration of various work streams to deliver the intended project outcomes, lead and oversee project execution, integration, and implementation efforts, and organize and manage work stream and governance meetings.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• 10 years+ experience as an IT project manager in infrastructure projects, including network, servers, and database solution deployments
• Skilled in coordinating and overseeing infrastructure and development team execution
• Background in Linux, Microsoft Server, networking, market data, and middleware
• Experienced in managing application migrations to public cloud, particularly Azure, and leveraging cloud services
• Collaboration skills and works well with diverse teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of addressing both technical and non-technical audiences
• Proficient in facilitating and presenting to groups
• Experience with MS Project, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, and Kanban
• Deep understanding of project management disciplines, processes, and artifacts
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and Technology SDLC/PDLC Process, Agile
• Schedule management skills
• Cost management experience
• Experience in creating performance and status reports for stakeholders
• Risk and issue management skills
