About the position

The Senior Technical Project Manager will be a key player in the Value Stream Acceleration Services team, which is part of the Engineering, Product, Innovation and Cloud (EPIC) organization at UKG. This team is dedicated to managing a portfolio of value streams that contribute to an enterprise SaaS product, with the primary goal of accelerating the delivery of value to customers. The team consists of highly skilled professionals who collaborate to ensure that these value streams maximize their output and effectiveness. The focus is on driving innovation, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction, ultimately leading to better outcomes for both employees and customers. In this role, the Senior Technical Project Manager will orchestrate and deliver complex programs that align with the strategic objectives of the organization. The successful candidate will leverage exceptional communication skills, technical expertise, and servant leadership to lead cross-functional teams in executing large-scale projects. This includes ensuring timely product releases while maintaining alignment with business objectives and priorities. The role requires a strong emphasis on program management excellence, including planning, execution, and delivery of complex programs, while managing timelines, budgets, and quality standards. The Senior Technical Project Manager will also be responsible for fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability within the team, promoting best practices in program management, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The position demands strong organizational skills to balance multiple priorities and dependencies, as well as the ability to manage risks and resolve issues effectively. Additionally, the role involves resource allocation across programs to ensure efficient use of resources and maximum value delivery to the organization. The candidate will utilize data and metrics to influence data-driven decisions that enhance operational effectiveness and ensure data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to process optimization, leading retrospectives and ensuring implementation of identified actions.
• Leverage data and metrics to influence data-driven decisions to improve operational effectiveness.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years experience as a Technical Program Manager or similar role in a SaaS-based environment.
• Strong understanding of Agile practices, including SAFe, Scrum, LPM, and DevOps.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand complex technical issues.
• Ability to perform in a hybrid-office role, requiring three or more days per week in the office.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with UKG Product Suites, Tax Services, Service Products, or core Payment Solutions services.
• Ability to leverage a customer-centric lens to represent customer needs.
• Out-of-the-box thinker and results-driven problem solver.
• Continuous learning approach with the ability to ask relevant questions and incorporate feedback.
• Experience with Aha!, JIRA, Confluence, PowerBI.
• Preferred certifications include: PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, LPM.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
