About the position

The Sr. Technical Project Manager will oversee cross-functional teams in a banking association and payments company, focusing on budgeting and deliverables for various projects, including infrastructure, database, distributed systems, and BI/Analytics. The role requires deep knowledge of distributed systems, particularly Java, and experience with multi-cloud environments. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and manage a small project management team in a hybrid work setting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with five different teams including DevOps, Fraud Project, Corporate Systems, BI/Analytics, and Web Engineering.
• Oversee budgeting and deliverables by communicating with stakeholders.
• Document project progress consistently and participate in architecture review boards.
• Manage projects related to infrastructure, database, and distributed systems.
• Utilize knowledge of multi-cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) in project management.
• Understand and collaborate with DevOps engineers on infrastructure tools like Kubernetes and Terraform.

Requirements

• Experience as a Technical Project Manager in healthcare, insurance, or finance sectors.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, particularly with Java.
• Experience managing multi-cloud environments, especially AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Knowledge of infrastructure tools such as Kubernetes, Cloud Formation, and Terraform.
• Ability to document processes and manage project deliverables effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience overseeing Data Engineering projects.
• Familiarity with BI/Analytics and web engineering practices.
