About the position

The role involves managing full life-cycle recruitment for the AI Department at Bloomberg, focusing on sourcing and hiring top AI talent globally. The recruiter will collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand their needs and ensure a smooth recruitment process, while also enhancing the candidate experience. The position requires a deep understanding of AI technologies and the ability to drive recruitment strategies aligned with Bloomberg's business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Own and implement the recruiting strategy for roles within the AI Department.
  • Fully understand the needs of hiring managers and collaborate with them to lead the full lifecycle recruitment process for mid-to-senior level hires.
  • Source candidates directly through external industry networking events and various online recruiting tools.
  • Stay informed on market trends affecting AI groups and advise the business accordingly.
  • Manage and review resumes, schedule interviews, negotiate offers, and transition candidates to the onboarding team.
  • Provide continuous feedback to candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Team up with HR business partners and other teams to onboard the best candidates quickly.
  • Drive the company's brand through social media, industry conferences, and open house events.
  • Partner with academic and diversity organizations to enhance recruitment strategies and build a diverse candidate pipeline.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of recent recruiting experience, particularly in the Artificial Intelligence space.
  • Deep understanding of AI/ML technologies and key concepts such as Natural Language Processing (NLP), neural networks, supervised/unsupervised learning, and deep learning.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML libraries and development frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Scikit-learn) and awareness of MLOps tools and practices.
  • Exceptional relationship management and negotiation skills, with a consultative approach.
  • Ability to influence multiple constituents without direct authority and effectively network within a heavily-matrixed organization.
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems and other recruiting-related applications.
  • Strong candidate assessment and interviewing skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience partnering with hiring managers to build inclusive teams.
  • Demonstrated passion, compassion, and the ability to lead by example.
