About the position

The Senior Technical Recruiter at AiDash will play a crucial role in the Talent Acquisition team, focusing on attracting and hiring top talent for data science and engineering roles. This position is a 6-month contract with the potential for full-time conversion, reporting directly to the Head of Recruiting. The recruiter will manage the end-to-end recruitment process, collaborate with hiring managers, and implement data-driven strategies to build a diverse candidate pipeline, all while enhancing the candidate experience.

Responsibilities

  • Drive full cycle recruitment efforts by attracting, sourcing, screening, and closing top talent for data science, application/software engineering, data engineering, and ML platform engineering roles.
  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand specific talent needs, role requirements, and the broader vision for the R&D organization.
  • Develop and implement data-driven talent acquisition strategies to attract both active and passive candidates, and nurture and maintain a robust candidate pipeline for current and future hiring needs.
  • Utilize diverse platforms including Google Scholar, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Stack Overflow, social media, networking events, and industry-specific channels to build a diverse pipeline of candidates.
  • Champion AiDash's employer brand across internal and external platforms, and contribute to employer branding initiatives.
  • Continuously optimize recruitment processes to ensure an outstanding experience for both candidates and interviewers.
  • Analyze recruitment metrics and data to evaluate the effectiveness of talent acquisition strategies, identify areas for improvement, and provide actionable insights to leadership.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in full cycle technical recruiting in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Proven track record of hiring principal, staff and senior-level data scientists, application/software engineers, data platform engineers, and ML platform engineers.
  • Ability to build well-targeted, high-quality diverse candidate pipelines for complex and specialized technical roles.
  • Proficiency in using sourcing tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, Google Scholar, GitHub, Boolean, and X-ray searches.
  • Strong understanding of computer vision, AI/ML, and data science technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in leveraging data and metrics to optimize sourcing strategies, including the ability to track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators such as candidate response rates, pipeline quality, and time-to-fill.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills, with a first principles thinking and ability to work independently.
  • Adept at managing competing priorities and navigating a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Passion for technology, and staying current with industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition, particularly within climate tech and AI/ML sectors.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in climatetech, remote sensing, geospatial or related fields, including hiring domain experts such as Meteorologists, Climatologists and Arborists.
