About the position

Whatnot is seeking a Technical Recruiter to identify and attract top technical talent for our rapidly growing engineering teams. This role involves managing the entire recruitment process, from sourcing candidates to providing an exceptional candidate experience, while emphasizing diversity and inclusion in hiring practices. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable juggling multiple roles simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Identify strong candidates through various sourcing methods, including LinkedIn and other unique channels.
  • Screen candidates to filter top talent and increase the hiring team's focus on interviews.
  • Manage pipelines for multiple open roles, typically between 5-10 at a time.
  • Assist in developing job posts, hiring plans, and screening rubrics in collaboration with hiring managers.
  • Iterate on candidate feedback to improve the recruiting process.
  • Cultivate relationships with individuals and community groups to enhance recruitment efforts.
  • Emphasize diversity in hiring by employing traditional and creative sourcing methods.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of technical recruiting experience in high-growth startups, specifically supporting engineering teams.
  • Experience evaluating candidates for a range of technical roles, including technical leadership positions.
  • Ability to manage the entire recruitment process from sourcing to hiring.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with passive talent.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple roles simultaneously.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to balance competing priorities.
  • Data-focused approach to measure pipeline health and set hiring manager expectations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sourcing for hard-to-fill Software Engineering, Security, and Infrastructure roles.
