About the position

CODE Staffing is seeking a Senior Technical Recruiter to join our team, either based in Houston, TX, or working remotely. This role is pivotal as we are not looking for a high volume of candidates; instead, we prioritize quality over quantity. The ideal candidate will be deeply embedded in the local Houston developer ecosystem, actively participating in user groups and events to build relationships and understand the community. This position is not just about filling roles; it’s about fostering long-term connections and being a part of the community. As the first recruiter in our funded startup, you will work closely with our COO to develop a strategic plan for sourcing and hiring top-level candidates. You will play a crucial role in shaping our recruitment efforts across the company. We are looking for someone who has a strong belief that the traditional recruitment approach is flawed. Our compensation package includes a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000, along with generous profit sharing and comprehensive healthcare benefits. Responsibilities

  • Engage with the local Houston developer community through events and user groups.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of recruiting experience, particularly in technical roles.

  • Proficient computer skills to manage recruitment tools and platforms.
  • Ability to socialize and connect with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Willingness to attend industry events and networking opportunities outside of regular business hours.
  • Some travel may be required for attending events.
