About the position

The Senior Technical Recruiter will manage the full life-cycle recruitment for open roles within Bloomberg's Engineering Enterprise Data function. This role focuses on sourcing and hiring top talent while ensuring a smooth recruiting process and an outstanding candidate experience, aligned with Bloomberg's business strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Own and implement the recruiting strategy for Bloomberg's Engineering Enterprise Data function
  • Fully understand the needs of hiring managers and collaborate with them to lead the full lifecycle recruitment process for mid-to-senior level hires
  • Source candidates directly through internal and external networking events and various online recruiting tools
  • Manage and review resumes, schedule interviews, negotiate offers, and transition candidates to the onboarding team
  • Provide continuous feedback to candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders
  • Team up with HR business partners, immigration, relocation, and others to onboard the best candidates quickly
  • Stay informed on market trends affecting the Engineering Enterprise Data function and advise the business accordingly
  • Drive the company's brand through social media, industry conferences, and open house events
  • Partner with academic and diversity organizations to enhance recruitment strategy and build a diverse pipeline of candidates

Requirements

  • 8+ years of recent recruiting experience, including successful recruitment of experienced professionals within the software engineering space
  • Exceptional relationship management and negotiation skills
  • Ability to influence multiple constituents without direct authority
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems and other recruiting-related applications
  • Strong candidate assessment and interviewing skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience partnering with hiring managers to build inclusive teams
  • Demonstrated passion, compassion, and ability to lead by example
