About the position

Cepton, a leading intelligent lidar solution provider, is seeking a Senior Recruiter to join our team and report directly to the CTO. This role is pivotal as we aim to expand our workforce by recruiting the next 10-20 software talents. In this position, you will lead the full cycle recruiting process for both senior and junior software engineers, focusing particularly on perception software engineers for self-driving and ADAS, as well as embedded software engineers for lidar internals. Your responsibilities will also extend to exploring software project management and software QA/validation roles, depending on the success of our recruitment efforts. You will collaborate closely with the CTO to devise effective hiring strategies that navigate the current challenging hiring landscape, characterized by many layoffs yet a scarcity of qualified talent. Your role will involve attracting candidates through various job posting channels and outreach efforts, conducting efficient phone screenings, and defining the recruitment process to ensure a smooth hiring experience. Responsibilities

  • Full cycle recruiting of both senior and junior software engineers, particularly perception software engineers for self-driving and ADAS, and embedded software engineers for lidar internals.
  • Collaborate with the CTO to experiment with the best hiring strategies to navigate the current hiring landscape.
  • Attract talents through job postings on various channels and outreach efforts.
  • Conduct and help define processes for efficient phone screenings.
  • Manage remote/hybrid work options.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full recruiting experience for software and related roles.
  • Comfortable pitching, conducting thorough interviews, and leading offer negotiations for senior-level positions.
  • Bachelor's or graduate degree in an intellectually rigorous discipline.
  • Work experience with startups is a plus.
