We are seeking a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our human resources team as a Senior Technical Recruiter. This role is crucial as our company continues to grow, necessitating skilled and passionate HR professionals who thrive on collaboration and are dedicated to enhancing the employee experience. The Senior Technical Recruiter will work closely with the HR department and management team, focusing on filling positions nationwide. While this position may be remote for the right candidate, applicants must reside in one of the following states: IL, FL, TX, IN, MO, or NC. The Senior Technical Recruiter is responsible for facilitating best-in-class sourcing, interviewing, selection, and onboarding processes. This role involves executing customized recruitment strategies that support our growth and developing, driving, and executing inclusive staffing programs across all offices. The Senior Technical Recruiter will also drive continuous improvement and increased efficiency in recruitment processes. As a natural collaborator, this individual will work with cross-functional teams and ensure success by being a subject matter expert on methodologies for sourcing highly specialized roles within various civil engineering disciplines. A strong record of recruiting accomplishments, proactivity, and the ability to thrive in complex, matrixed environments are essential for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and effectively employ recruitment strategies to achieve required staffing levels and identify qualified candidates through various recruiting tools.
  • Participate in annual workforce planning and position forecasting processes.
  • Meet with hiring managers regularly to develop and execute role-specific recruiting plans.
  • Employ a tenacious and proactive approach to sourcing and seeking out active and passive candidates.
  • Participate in annual professional job/career fair strategies and other recruiting events with appropriate staff to generate qualified applicants.
  • Oversee all aspects of the recruiting life cycle including all applicable laws, processes, and records requirements.
  • Research, analyze, prepare, and present hiring and recruiting metrics.
  • Collaborate with leaders and hiring managers to determine appropriate salaries and wage rates and other terms and conditions of employment for candidates.
  • Gain commitment from candidates for current and future job requirements.
  • Ensure a best-in-class candidate experience.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of all applicable employment laws.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the Hanson employee value proposition.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related field.
  • 5 years experience in recruiting for technical positions in the engineering, manufacturing or other STEM related industries.
  • Demonstrated experience in sourcing for and successfully placing passive candidates.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office required.
  • Strong skills to navigate standard HR organizational programs.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) required.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Certified Staffing Professional (CSP) certification a plus.
  • Experience with Workday ATS a plus.
