About the position
The Senior Technical Specialist role at SRE focuses on providing support for projects aimed at enhancing community resilience and mitigating risks. This position involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success while adhering to federal, state, and local regulations. Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance in the planning, design, and implementation of projects.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data to support project objectives and decision-making processes.
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports, proposals, and documentation in compliance with internal and client guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, planners, and other specialists, to ensure project success.
- Ensure all project activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations and standards.
- Support the coordination and management of project tasks, schedules, and deliverables.
- Assist in engaging with stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and the public, to gather input and provide project updates.
- Participate in risk assessment activities to identify potential hazards and develop mitigation strategies.
- Maintain accurate and organized project documentation and records.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Environmental Science, Urban Planning).
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in technical support, project coordination, or a related role.
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
- Proficient with PCs, MS Office, Adobe, Google Mail, Citrix Sharefile, and online meeting platforms such as Google Meet and Zoom.
Nice-to-haves
- Relevant certifications are a plus.
Benefits
- Competitive salary range of $59,000-180,000/year based on experience and qualifications.
