About the position

This position is an individual contributor role within Celestica's Hardware Platform Solutions (HPS) team, focusing on troubleshooting and resolving customer technical issues related to networking, storage, and server software, particularly with SONiC. The role requires extensive experience in technical support and customer interaction, with responsibilities including engaging with customers to understand their network topology, providing troubleshooting assistance, and participating in pre-sales activities. The successful candidate will be expected to work under pressure and drive issue resolutions effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer technical issues related to networking, storage, and server software.
  • Engage with customers to understand their network topology and provide suggestions and answers to their questions.
  • Review configurations and troubleshoot issues in mission-critical networks.
  • Participate in pre-sales activities to assist Sales Engineers and Business Development teams.
  • Author test cases using Python/Go for internal Q/A activities.
  • Write technical documentation such as Application Notes, FAQs, Installation Guides, and Troubleshooting Guides.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience as a Network Engineer handling switch and router products.
  • Experience with SONiC network operating system and FRR stack.
  • Experience in designing, configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing network hardware and topologies.
  • Deep understanding of networking concepts, architecture, and protocols including BGP, OSPF, and others.
  • Proficiency in Linux and experience with C and scripting languages like Python/Go.
  • Direct customer interface experience and experience in writing technical documentation.

Nice-to-haves

  • CCIE or equivalent certification is a major plus.
