About the position

At BNY Mellon, we are seeking a Senior Technician for our Client Processing team, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This full-time position requires the individual to work on-site, with a schedule from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, and Wednesdays and Saturdays off. In this role, you will provide quality service and support to both internal and occasionally external clients on a daily basis. Your responsibilities will include account and security transaction processing, phone interactions, and routine problem resolution in a timely manner. You will work within well-defined parameters and under direct supervision, performing routine operational tasks in a product or functional area. This includes processing, balancing, settling, and servicing all types of security transactions. You will be responsible for entering data, keying information from checks, interpreting payee information, and transcribing it into our online system. Applying judgment based on practice and precedence is essential, as you will execute all correspondent requisites accurately and in a timely manner, understanding the underlying business and specific client needs. Additionally, you will maintain relevant paperwork in accordance with departmental policy, emphasizing regulatory compliance and minimizing exposure related to assigned processing tasks. In the event of errors in client accounts and statements, you may investigate and correct these issues, escalating any problems to your immediate supervisor as necessary.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High school/secondary school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of total work experience preferred.
