About the position
The position involves overseeing all phases of physical, dimensional, and aesthetic evaluation and analysis of received goods produced. The individual will ensure that quality meets customer specifications and will collaborate closely with operations, Quality Assurance, and Research & Development to verify the accuracy of formula specifications. Responsibilities include maintaining records for all bulk approvals, organizing retain samples, and preparing Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for customers. The role also requires arranging and sending out customer samples for approval along with the necessary paperwork, approving all Mast Global fragrances, and maintaining associated documentation. Interaction with management and customers is essential to achieve high-quality goods, and the individual will interface with other departments on routine technical matters. The position demands a thorough understanding of cGMP and safety requirements, monitoring and evaluating documented test results, and recommending corrective actions as needed. Continuous review of processes and procedures to identify and implement improvements is also a key responsibility. The individual will assist in managing and investigating out-of-specification (OOS) results and customer complaints, participate in quality-related audits, and maintain a clean and orderly work environment while observing all Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). Other tasks may be assigned by upper management as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all phases of physical, dimensional, and aesthetic evaluation and analysis of received goods produced
- Assures good quality according to the customer's specifications
- Works closely with operations, Quality Assurance and Research & Development to verify accuracy in formula specifications
- Maintains records for all bulk approvals
- Maintains and organizes retain samples
- Disposition items depending upon criteria provided
- Prepare COAs for customers
- Arrange and send out customer samples for approval with associated paperwork
- Approve all Mast Global fragrances, maintain retains, COAs and associated paperwork
- Interact with management and customers to achieve high quality goods
- Interface with all other departments in routine technical matters
- Understand, exercise and enforce all cGMP and safety requirements and procedures
- Monitor, and evaluate all documented test results, and batch adjustments, recommending corrective action or change control as required
- Ongoing review of set processes and procedures challenging the way Aware is conducting business. Recommending and implementing improvements as identified
- Assist in managing and investigating all OOS and customer complaints
- Assist with quality related audits
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Maintains a clean and orderly work environment, observing all Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's)
- Conduct any other tasks as assigned by upper management.
Requirements
- High school Diploma or GED preferred
- 5 years-experience in a fast-paced cGMP manufacturing environment and demonstrated consumer goods product knowledge in lieu of diploma
- Basic Math skills including but not limited to: addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and percentages required
- Some statistical knowledge is preferred
- Must have proven ability to read, write and communicate in English
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and communicating effectively via email and phone
- Strong, Consistent, reliable attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Flexibility to work OT when necessary - including weekends
- Good Team building skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Excellent attendance record.
