About the position

The Senior Teradata Developer will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining applications within the Financial Crimes technology domain. This position requires a strong understanding of the Teradata platform and extensive experience in solution architecture and application design. The developer will work closely with business partners to define requirements, develop complex solutions, and ensure best practices are followed throughout the development lifecycle. This role is hybrid, requiring three days onsite and two days remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Develop complex requirements and enhance existing applications in the Financial Crimes technology.
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document programs while supporting application maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with business partners to define system application requirements.
  • Provide insights and direction from a data perspective, assessing impacts on technology systems.
  • Participate in the full development lifecycle of capabilities being delivered.
  • Contribute to story refinement and estimate work necessary for delivery.
  • Perform proof of concept to mitigate risks or implement new ideas.
  • Setup and automate continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Handle technical aspects of the application including Change Management and Maintenance.
  • Work with Production Support teams and Business Partners to manage application changes and upgrades.
  • Promote and apply best practices and standards at project and program levels.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience as a Teradata Developer.
  • Strong understanding of the Teradata platform and hands-on solution architecture experience.
  • Proficiency in SQL/BTEQ scripting, TPT, Informatica, UNIX Shell scripting, Autosys, Cloudera CDP, Hadoop (Hive, Impala, PySpark, Scala).
  • Demonstrated data sourcing, data analysis, and modeling skills.
  • Experience with SQL performance tuning and database-intensive development.
  • Good knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD practices.

Nice-to-haves

  • Business knowledge in financial domains related to Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Crimes.
  • Experience with tools like Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Ansible.
