About the position

The Senior Test Automation Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the robustness and reliability of Green Street's cloud and mobile-based applications. This position involves working within an Agile team to develop automated test scripts, collaborate with development teams, and optimize testing processes. The engineer will contribute to the growth of one of the fastest-growing technology companies in the Commercial Real Estate space, focusing on delivering high-quality software solutions for clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using C# and test frameworks such as NUnit.
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand application features and create comprehensive test plans.
  • Implement and execute automated tests to ensure the quality of new and existing features.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects to resolution.
  • Optimize test automation processes and frameworks for efficiency and scalability.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior test engineers.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our testing practices.
  • Work directly with a development team in London and California offshore development team members in various time zones.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or comparable experience.
  • ISTQB certification or similar.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Test Automation Engineer, with a strong portfolio of automated test scripts.
  • Proficiency in C# and experience with test frameworks such as NUnit.
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A continuous learning mindset and a passion for staying current with new technologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with other test frameworks and tools.
  • Knowledge of performance and load testing.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
