About the position

BAE Systems is seeking a Test Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team focused on developing and implementing a Space Ground mission-focused software cloud application. The role involves creating test plans and procedures, supporting system integration, and coordinating with technical teams to deliver effective solutions. The position is set in an Agile, fast-paced environment, requiring collaboration and communication with various stakeholders, including customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement test plans and procedures for software applications.
• Support system integration and requirement sell-off processes.
• Coordinate with the Custody Engine Technical Team to accomplish program tasks.
• Provide technical solutions and support during customer meetings and briefings.
• Engage constructively with peers and technical leads to communicate technical approaches and decisions.

Requirements

• Must have a Top Secret security clearance.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.
• Understanding of modern software development and systems engineering practices.
• Experience in developing systems engineering processes for planning, development, integration, and testing.
• Ability to write detailed test procedures and learn new systems quickly.

Nice-to-haves

• Holding an active Top Secret/SCI clearance is highly desired.
• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or a technical discipline with 8+ years of related experience.
• Experience with Jenkins, Docker, Postman, GitHub/GitLab, Java, Bash, Curl, XML, JSON, SQL, Javascript, and AWS.
• Good planning and organizational skills.
