About the position

Join our team as a Senior Test Engineer in Danbury, CT! The ideal candidate hired for this position will partner with technical experts throughout the company and be accountable for understanding customer needs and providing meaningful, proactive technical solutions. The Senior Test Engineer will perform requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, verification, and validation for automated test equipment, manual test program sets, as well as embedded diagnostic test applications. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse projects, ranging from legacy systems designed in the 1980s to the latest technology, ensuring that engineers remain challenged by their work. Engineers are involved in shaping project concepts from the start; they collaborate on designs, contribute through individual implementation efforts, and see the results of their accomplishments through the completion of integration and test.

Responsibilities

  • Involved with the design and development of test programs to measure the functionality and integrity of products and services.
  • Write test procedures and protocols to assess product reliability and evaluate the ability of products to meet performance standards and specifications.
  • Debug test hardware and software.
  • Responsible for leading a group of engineers on a technical activity and ensuring completion of activity on time and within budget.
  • Design, develop, analyze, document, and support testing of products, systems, or subsystems.
  • Review customer specifications and requirements, and under direction, develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable.
  • Provide budget, cost, and schedule input for design assignments.
  • Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems, and services.
  • Drive the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirements.
  • Develop prototypes to retire key development risks.
  • Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required.
  • Participate in preparation of proposals.
  • Provide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnel.
  • Lead and direct the work of others as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Fluency in technologies and application domain.
  • Ability to lead a technical group independently.
  • Prior experience with MATLAB or LabVIEW.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
