About the position

As a Senior Test Engineer at Swift, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our secure financial messaging services. You will collaborate with internal customers and technical teams to design, develop, and test software systems, while also enhancing our continuous integration and deployment frameworks. This position requires a strong focus on automation and optimization, as well as the ability to lead a team of testers to deliver high-quality releases in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain test specifications, test cases, and regression tests
• Lead test case reviews
• Produce documentation related to the testing lifecycle including instructions, test case overviews, and qualification statements
• Supervise test executions and validate results, following up on all bugs captured/reported
• Participate in debugging sessions and work with developers
• Code (writing and automating tests) and maintain software-testing frameworks
• Deploy builds in the test environment
• Propose enhancements and lead the development of test automation tools
• Review functional requirements specifications and design documents to ensure testability
• Become a knowledge expert for the products
• Lead a team of testers and delegate responsibilities to ensure quality releases

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other related discipline
• 5+ years of experience within a testing or development environment
• Expertise in Testing - automation, setup, execution, data analysis, test analysis
• Expertise in writing test strategies and test plans
• Experience with RHEL(Linux) technology required, including Python/Shell scripting
• Expertise building CI/CD pipelines based on Jenkins, and integrating with Bitbucket/Git and artefact repositories
• Building Ansible Playbooks and integrating into CI/CD pipeline

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge in virtualization/containerization concepts and technologies (i.e. Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes)
• Practical experience of SSL/TLS, HTTP/S, XML, XSD, REST APIs
• Knowledge of NoSQL DBs
