About the position

The Senior Test Flight Program Manager will assist the Government in overseeing and managing flight test operations for an aviation program. This role involves project management, research, contracting, finance, development, production, and lifecycle sustainment efforts, ensuring that project goals are met within specified timelines and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Flight Test Chief in ensuring project goals are met within stated need dates and budgets.
• Draft and review test plans and safety packages.
• Plan and schedule test assets and criteria.
• Conduct flight and ground testing through configuration control and troubleshooting.
• Review and draft documentation support for test reports.
• Interface with customers to ensure proper prioritization and de-confliction of test activities.
• Integrate, communicate, coordinate, schedule, organize, and plan technical test efforts.
• Liaise between government organizations, contractors, sub-contractors, and customers.

Requirements

• Advanced Degree (MA/MS) and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, with five years in the DoD.
• BA/BS degree and 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, with five years in the DoD.
• 20 years of directly related experience with proper certifications, with eight years in the DoD.
• Advanced knowledge and recognized ability in the technical/professional field.
