About the position

The Senior Test Instrumentation Engineer at LinQuest will play a crucial role in supporting the Airborne Test Instrumentation Data System (ATIDS) and related systems for the B-52 aircraft. This position involves hands-on engineering tasks, collaboration with test personnel, and leadership responsibilities over instrumentation technicians. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in aviation and test instrumentation, particularly with the B-52, and will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and functionality of test instrumentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance, design, and architecture upgrades of B-52 test instrumentation.
• Order equipment, perform system calibration, and conduct pre-flight/post-flight inspections and operational checks.
• Collaborate with test squadron personnel to enhance the ATIDS system for improved capability and maintainability.
• Design custom architecture for the 49TES Telemetry Van to ensure real-time data integrity and communication.
• Train, mentor, and direct the work of three instrumentation technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in aviation, DoD, and/or test instrumentation engineering.
• Experience working on B-52 aircraft is required.
• 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
