About The Position
LinQuest is seeking a Senior Test Instrumentation Engineer to join our team at Barksdale AFB in Shreveport, LA. The ideal candidate will reside in the local area and work in the office daily. This position requires a ship and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. The Senior Test Instrumentation Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the 49TES's Airborne Test Instrumentation Data System (ATIDS) foundational flight test instrumentation package, the Digital Separation Camera System (DSCS), and Telemetry Van instrumentation. In this role, the engineer will be responsible for the maintenance, design, and architecture upgrades of B-52 test instrumentation. This includes equipment ordering, system calibration, pre-flight and post-flight inspections, operational checks, as well as installation and removal of instrumentation systems. The engineer will also collaborate with other test squadron's test instrumentation personnel to enhance the ATIDS system, focusing on greater capability, ease of use, maintainability, data transmission, and synergy across the B-52 test enterprise. Additionally, the engineer will design custom architecture for the 49TES Telemetry Van to ensure real-time data integrity, data transmission, and safety communication. A significant aspect of this role will involve training, mentoring, and directing the work of three instrumentation technicians.
